“Anna, House Ghost”
MICHAEL CHAMBERS
Statement
Over time making art has become a spiritual journey for me. I was always drawn to religious art and especially Renaissance art. I was so fortunate as a child to live in Italy for several years and visit cathedrals and see my favorite paintings in person. I know these experiences had a life-changing affect on me. You will see only a few themes in my work — angels, life, death, inner peace, prayer, contemplation, doorways, darkness and light. Each painting signifies a new exploration, a new layer revealed, a new path in the journey.
